Turtle Lake Elementary School
Shoreview, Minnesota
Welcome to our online gallery. My goal is to add at least two new pictures each year for each student. Sometimes I add more to show a few samples from a specific unit.

Mrs. Nara's school website can be found at http://teacherweb.com/MN/TurtleLakeElementarySchool/Art/apt1.aspx
Check there for permission forms and other information about the Turtle Lake Art Program.

Parents, if you have any questions or concerns, please email me.

Students love to get comments and see how many fans they have.
If you do choose to purchase something, 20% goes to the Turtle Lake art budget. Last year, we purchased a class set of black pens and compasses, and ceramic glazes. This year, we purchased more ceramic glaze, yarn, and some very cool shape templates.

Thank you for visiting and supporting the arts!

Kobe: Grandpa and I love this artwork. Such a variety of shapes coming together in a very interesting picture. Also, the choice of colors is great. Keep up the good work. Love Grandma and Grandpa -- Verdella

Logan: We just got your artwork, self portrait, on our e-mail this morning. What a good job. I knew it was a self portrait when I saw the big bow in her hair and the necklace. You are such a cute granddaugher. We'll be home on the l7th of May and are anxious to see you and your family, furry and human, and come to some of the sporting events of the summer. Love, Papa and Grammy -- Verdella

I liked how easy it was to create the most. I thought it was pretty interesting how somethis so small could do so much damage. I would add more legs if I could. But I like it how it is too. I learned that this bug can kill a lot of other things just by being touched. it's really cool. That one little but held so much power.h I created this project with paper, paint, and pencils.

I really the colos and it reminds me of Wolverine. Looking at the movie XMan2 mld takade me want to make this project. I would take that white line on the left out if I could. I don't like it so much. I had never woven anything before, this was a first for me. I liked it. Having aretwork online really surprised me. I cut the paper and cut the string the same length and binded them together. It was a lot of fun.

I picked it because I like butterflies. Learned that they could get nectar from the trees.
