Caroline, Another great example of your creative mind. Because I used to sew, I was really interested in your choice of fabrics for the quilt. I recognized felt, rick rack, sequins, glitter fabric and colorful ribbon. It must have been fun to choose your materials for this piece of art. I am very glad that I am able to see these pieces online and enjoy your work. Love, G’Mom -- Rebecca

Artist Statement from Caroline This is a family portrait and collage of my family. I worked very very very hard on this collage. In this picture is me and my dad in the front and my mom and my sister in the back. We are at the pool at West Side Tennis Club. I chose that location because we go there and really enjoy it. I made this collage using fabric, markers, and glue. I learned not to glue on the portrait but to glue on the table. I like that there is so much detail in there and I included a lot in my family portrait. If I did it again, I would give myself blond hair. I also wish I had more time to work on it so I could go slower. It took three or four weeks to do.

Hi Caroline, I really enjoy your art work. The colors you picked for the quilt are bright and cheerful. Keep up the good work. Love, Grampy -- Aaron

I put a lot of effort into my art. I like it a lot. I used glue, oil pastels, small pieces of paper and colorful paper. I think it looks like a self portrait of me. I love my curly hair. I love having Art! ~Oliver John Matthew Guerra 10/18/2014
