 | I could have picked this profile out of 100. The mouth and the curl on the back of your head gave it away. Really good job!

 | For Jessica Pricewritten by Deesha4 | | For Molly Quinlanwritten by Deesha4 | | While making this painting,i think Frank Stella's favorite part was the combination of colors being used. Although I used much brighter colors, I believe that Stella also enjoyed it because whether there are bright or dull colors, the combinations and many colors really bring all of the stripes together. The part that I think he didn't like was the precise measurements and accuracy that went into making this painting look even. For me,the main reason why I was inspired by Stella's artwork was the way the colors flowed together and the measurements that created interesting shapes. If I were to go back and do this painting again, I would definitely make the colors more spread out and separate the different shades of each color. While I was working on this painting, I realized how important it was to have the right kind of brush because there were so many lines that needed to be straight and look straight.I was surprised to realize how much the right brush mattered and how difficult it was to keep varying shades away from each other so they didn't look too similar to each other. To create this painting, I measured out the rectangles with a ruler and the half circles with a compass.written by Sara4294 |
