Dear Rachel, I love your papel picado design! I've done this activity many times with my students, but nobody ever did anything so dramatic or with such an unusual, intricate pattern. Congratulations on your success!

I love my lime and pink shirt in this picture. I didn't like my hair that much because my hair doesn't look like that and it is not that long. I followed my teacher's directions to make this portrait. If I drew it again, I would change my eyes because they look kind of "angry" and I am not angry. I learned how to make real eyes, not just circles, a real nose and a real mouth, not just a line like a boat. I learned about pastels when I drew my portrait and I like how you can blend and mix colors with your finger. To make this portrait, I made a circle for my head and I wrote "km" on the back for Kindergarten/ Monday and I signed my name. Then, I drew in a neck and shoulders. Then, I drew my eyes and we learned how to draw noses. When I drew my mouth, I colored it blue because there were not any "skin colors" available. And, I LOVE going to art!written by Landon2984
I made a barn because I like to live in barns. My favorite part of this barn is the roof because it protects me from storms and rain. My least favorite part of this painting are the bulls (the pink circles on the top/bottom of the page).written by Addison2048
