I decided to use photography in my final environment project. I selected photography because I am very familiar with taking pictures. I took over 50 pictures and decided to make a collage. The Photoshop wasn’t big enough to hold all of the pictures so I only used 10. The first pictured I used was a photo of the sky without any clouds and I used that for my collage background. Using the sky for the background adds a lot more value and detail to the other pictures. I was thinking about just doing square pictures but instead I made all of the photos look like they were in the same photo.

I chose to make a flower but I didn't know what I wanted to do, so I came up with the idea to put glow sticks in a box with a flower attached to it. I thought that the glow from the glow sticks would power through the holes I poked in the flower and then the flower would be shining with color. It represented that just because something is little doesn't mean that it can't shine like everything else. It's meaning that people need to open up their eyes and see the little things in life. But it didn't turn out as I thought it would but it still turned out great.

This piece was made by a new technique. I drew out the flower. Then I colored it in with oil pastel and I craved into it with a tooth pick. Final I painted it with liquid water color to give the flower and the water more texture. With the wide same color back round it gives the flower more of a pop. I wanted to give it more of a moving picture feel instead of just coloring it in. It looks a whole lot better. I feel like it shows both space and place.
