 | In this piece of artwork, I crumpled up a brown piece of paper and then soaked it in water to give it a "bark" affect. After that, I put some patches of black India Ink to give it a different shade of brown to make it look natural. Then, I waited for it to dry overnight. After that, I painted this nature scenery with fluorescent paints onto the "bark". My favorite part of this artwork was making the "bark" because I have never done that before so it is a new experience for me. If I were to do this artwork again, I would probably make the green fish, red, because I already have a lot of green in my finished product. I thoroughly enjoyed making this and I hope to do it again soon!written by Arushi26 | | This piece of artwork was one of my favorites to make. I made this artwork by first taking a sheet of paper, and drawing the sketch of what I wanted to make. After that I took a piece of 3 in. by 3 in. styrofoam and carved my design on that. That design was 1/4 of my complete artwork. Then I took some ink and put it on the styrofoam design. I took the inked covered styrofoam and then I printed the design on different colored papers. I waited for the ink to dry overnight. Then, I cut them out so they are all perfect squares. Later, I glued them to orange construction paper and put stamps around them. I liked when I was carving the design because this project was nature inspired and I love nature. I learned that printmaking is not as easy as it looks and it involves many steps. I loved making this and I would like to do it again soon. Thank you Mrs. Icardi!!!written by Arushi26 | | I particularly enjoyed making this clay piece. In this piece of artwork, we had to shape the clay into an animal themed structure which would serve an important purpose in everyday life. My clay piece could be used to hold paperclips and small sticky-notes. After shaping the artwork, we put them in the kiln to be fired. When we took them out, we glazed the dried clay pieces with special glaze paint. The last step was to fire them again in the kiln. I really enjoyed glazing the pieces because I love to paint. I loved making this art piece and it is very special to me because it is unique and my very own!!!written by Arushi26 |
