Welcome to the Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center on Artsonia. The Severn River location of AE is a natural fit for visual arts experiences that connect to the environment - AACPS Art Trek and Natural Connections Summer Visual Arts Programs, and the Barrels of Fun-Rain Barrel Program.

Artwork is created at AE during a week long art focused camp for recommended young artists. Their work is inspired by themes found in the natural environment around AE.

In addition, The Rain Barrel Project is an arts integrated project for many Fourth grade students in AACPS. Students participate in an AE environmental learning program during the school year, and are followed by artistic explorations painted on rain barrels. Barrels are a unique canvas for artistic expression and curricular connections. Installed at our school, they capture and slowly release storm water to help improve the state of our waterways.
