Words and Worlds: A Collaborative Community Project at Scroggs Elementary

We received a grant to create a tile mural for the school featuring texts and treasures from the native cultures of our children. We were inspired by local and international artist Siglinda Scarpa, and were able to meet with her and see one of her tile murals as we began our collaboration. We made our decisions together, and sometimes just figuring out how to make the decisions as a group was the biggest challenge of all!
