Overview: This multimedia project used sharpies, water paint (for the sky), tempera paint (for the water), construction paper for the skyscrapers, and crayon or colored pencil on the city street. Students focused on the art element of "space" by using layers to create space. They also made sure to draw the trees going behind the buildings. and some of the buildings going off the scene as ways to show space. Additionally they used lines to show continued space and dimension. Verse: Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Life Application: These art pieces show cities that are full of signs and lights that attract people to stores and restaurants. Just like these signs in the middle of busy cities, we are to be lights that attract the people of our city to Jesus by shining His love for all to see.
