Welcome to BSM's visual arts gallery on Artsonia. Thank you for visiting and supporting the arts. Our art department believes art is an intellectual process critical to the development of the mind, body, and spirit of each student. We stress visual thinking, creativity, skill development, and critical analysis. Our program emphasizes design, skills of seeing and drawing, problem solving, persistence, and personal expression. Learning to take informed risks, realizing that there can be multiple solutions to a project, and being inventive in making images and objects are central to the program. We use the creative process regularly to clarify conceptual issues and to celebrate uniqueness of personal vision. We view the study of historical and cultural traditions as essential in expanding student's visual awareness.
