I love that we got to draw anything in the background. I also love the shadows they look so cool. This artwork was one of my favorite art projects. It was really fun to make this and it was not hard to make. To make this I painted sheets of paper an then we waited for it to dry and then we cut out circles for planets then we got a black piece of paper for the sky. We drew dots for stars. Then we glued the planets on and drew space ships and people.
I really like that we used black chalk pastel for the planet's shadow. And that we used yellow chalk pastel for the sun's brightness. That was really fun. And the way we made the planet's was really cool with the water colors.
I really like that we got to create our own galaxy!!! I named it Greek Galaxy because I named the planets after Greek gods and goddesses and a demigod. In real life the planets are named after Romen gods and goddesses, but I'm into Greek mythology and learning more about Roman. It was especially fun to make the planet and adding the rings. The sun was fun to make because we made the rays by smearing chalk pastel around it. The ending looked great and it was fun to make. Mrs. McGee was soo creative on this one!!! I hope you like how it ended because I did!!! I hope this grabs your intrust in space!!!
My favorite part about this project was making the aliens and space ships. I loved that we got to make the stars any color we wanted! This was definitely one of my favorite projects this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first step I did was painting the planets. Then I waited for it to dry so it would get the texture. Then I put rings on the planets I wanted. Then I glued the planets down. Next I put chalk on the sun then spreded it away from the sun. Then I made the spaceshutle and glued it. It was fun making it.
I picked to do a Pegasus because I like unicorns but I didn't just want to do a unicorn. The colors of chalk pastel I used are yellow, green, blue, pink, white. I picked these colors because they looked the best with the unicorn.
