Dear Cubie, I love this painting. It reminds me of Picasso! You are a wonderful artist. Congratulations! Your great aunt Dorothy San Diego, California

Hi Sagey! What a beautiful Cubist self-portrait. Love the colors and I think I get most of the symbols, but I'd love to hear about it from you. I'm interested in the small sad face, like a tear, and the half sunny and bright, but partially blue face. I think you're the greatest! love, A. Suneela

Wow, John! That is a very interesting self portrait! Looks as if you are showing that half of you is happy and the other half is upset at the same time. Can you tell me what you were feeling the day you painted it? I'd be very interested to know. I love the cubist art. You are doing a great job. We each have so many emotions inside us at different times that I can understand how you can feel two ways (at least) about who you are at the same time. Just remember, it is not just who you are now but who you are becoming that counts. I see you as emerging into a wonderfully, strong, complex person who has much to give to the world. Love and many blessings, Grandma Angie

Hi John! I think this is the best painting you have done so far!! I am very impressed! love how you used the cubist concept to show different sides of your personality. I love your use of colors - warm tones on the happy side and cool tones on the sad side. And it even looks a little bit like you! Love, Aunt Julie
