Artsonia: Commonly Asked Questions Students
How do I find my artwork?
If you know your screenname, then you can search for your artwork by entering the screenname in the find artist section of the homepage. Alternatively, you can also find the artwork by typing in the URL www.artsonia.com/screenname (where screenname is your screenname such as Lisa22). If you do not know your screenname, then browse to your school from the home page.
How can I tell if anyone has looked at my artwork?
Artsonia has two different sizes of your artwork - a small thumbnail version is shown as part of your school gallery. When you click on it, you will see a larger, full-size version of your artwork. This page will show you the number of times the artwork has been "viewed" (i.e., the number of times somebody clicked on the smaller version to see the larger version), the number of comments you have received, and the number of fan club members you have.
Why do I have a number by my name? What is a screenname?
The screenname is your "unique" name in Artsonia - there is exactly one kid - that's you - with your screenname! The screenname enables you or anyone else to find all your artwork easily by searching for the screenname or by typing in the URL www.artsonia.com/screenname
What is a fan club and how do I add members to it?
Each artist has their own "fan club". Fan club members are friends and relatives who support your creativity, and get emailed when new comments are left for you, and when you publish new artwork. You can invite relatives to the fan club by clicking on the "join fan club" link next to the artwork.
What are the Artsonia awards and trophies I can win?
By simply being published on Artsonia, you have won the "published artist" award. This is for being officially published in
an international art museum. In addition, you can win other trophies for having more artwork published, lots of comments
and fan club members. If you earn all of the awards, you will then be a "Hall of Fame" Artist at your school.
For more information, click on the award details link next to the artwork.
What is an eCard and how can I send one with my own artwork?
An eCard or Arts-eCard is an electronic greeting card. You can send an eCard with your own artwork (or any other artwork) by first going to that artwork and then clicking the awards and highlights link. Then you can click on the "send eCard" button. You can add a message to the card and even add music if you like!
How can I invite others to view my artwork?
You can increase the number of views and comments for your artwork by inviting your friends and relatives to come see your artwork. Go to your artwork and then click on the "Join Fan Club" link. Fill out their names and email addresses, and they will be sent an invitation to view the artwork.
