Hi Rose, GM Joan here. Thanks for explaining the assignment that prompted you to decide to draw this sunny side up egg. Your choice of a virus or germ cell and its re-creation as a cracked egg shows your interesting and vivid imagination. I like how you carefully drew the eggshell to show how it cracked all along its edges and the shape you chose for the egg yolk brought a smile to my face. A very nicely done drawing!

Hi Rose! I enjoyed getting the email announcing the latest piece of your artwork. This one is very interesting, with the glass, water, spoon and little rose. You did an excellent job using your artistic talent to create a three dimensional artwork, which makes this still life look so realistic. Hi Rose! What an interesting project; I am curious how you do a coffee wash! You’ll have to tell me all about it next time we are together. I like the realism and detail in your drawing of the hand, and your choice of flowers and bubbles, both intact and bursting, is a clever and attractive addition to the focal point of the human hand in this drawing. Love this drawing and love YOU, my favorite soon-to-be 13 year old granddaughter.

Hi Rose! LOVE your Melting Snow landscape painting! The contrast with the blue water surrounded by a beautiful green meadow is very nicely done as is the dark mountains and pale blue sky. Great job!! When we go out west this summer, you will probably see some mountain tops with snow still on them even in late July and some mountain meadows just like this piece of your artwork. LOVE YOU!

Hi again Rose! You achieved a visually appealing look with this colorful abstract drawing. I especially liked the sense of balance in your artwork by your decision to place two similar, yet opposite shapes on the two edges of your artwork, one black with a red and orange background and the other black and blue colored with a purple background. Hi Rose! I really like this waterscape. The soft pink of a sunrise on the far horizon with a sailboat on the water accenting that pink with a touch of white sail was a nice choice of color combination and design. Hi there, Fox Lady! I love this portrait. The partially zipped up jacket pairs really well with the fox ears, too cute! It is really difficult to draw eyeglasses on a face and make it REALLY look realistic. But you did it! What a super job. Hope you have tons of fun with your cousin in California. Will sure miss seeing you this weekend, but hope you can come to the bayhouse another day soon.

And another landscape! This one reminds me of the beautiful mountain streams that Bruce and I camped beside on our trips out west. The vibrant reds, greens and browns of the land contrast well with the stunning blue you chose for the water. Very nicely done, Fox Lady! Love ya!
