I love this one. It's a stormy night at sea and the empty boat speaks of emptiness and quiet. No storm, clouds and a still sea. Very, very interesting.

Somehow I missed this artwork. Very interesting, I like the colors and the way you chose certain parts of the instrument to draw. Your horn has definite "roundness" to it. More and more interesting. Keep up the good work!

Very nice, we love it....good job.

This piece is very interesting. I do like the colors but it took me awhile to realize there was a guitar in the work. Your keyboards keep getting better, I really like the motion they provide. My eyes were drawn to the keys on your instruments. I like that you only put part of the trumpet and trombone in the picture. Keep up the good work I love to see your art. It’s always interesting.

I find this piece very interesting. The building piece behind your head (with tuba) looks like a giraffe to me. The contrast between the music and your other background pieces is very nice. I like the rolling music in the front. I agree the pic of you playing the trombone is a bit dark but the light building with the music breaks it up some. I think the rolling music portion is very clever, nice colors in the background. Perhaps if you were wearing a white shirt you might like the contrast better. But all in all it's an interesting piece of art. Keep up the good work.

I really like this piece. I love how you drew his eyes, they draw me right into the piece. The trumpet made me laugh. As a whole, this is a great piece of art. You're getting better and better.

This guy looks scary, his eyes tell me to "run" or he's going to get me. I do love the color you chose for your background, it brings out the figure even though he's done is appropriate dark colors. Great work!

I think you know how much I like this piece. Your creativity shines through on it. Love the little American Flag, the bill with Lincoln's face on it, the stars, the stripes and all the patterns. His piercing eyes show Lincoln's intelligence, his thoughtfulness and concern." You did a great job with good old "Abe." Keep up the good work!

You continue to surprise me with your artwork. This is very interesting and thought provoking. Now you're a poet! I didn't know that before. I especially like the way you joined your words toward the bottom of the piece. I see a lion's head on the bottom right of your piece. This is very special.

I really like how you drew and shaded the trophy in this piece. I can “feel” the rounded handles. Your work keeps getting better.

I love this piece. I must disagree because I think there are enough items in your piece. Love the orange books on your desk and the guitar on the wall. I like blue and orange together and you have a blue wall with a guitar that has orange tones and a sweet stack of orange books on the desk. This is a pleasing combination of colors and movement, my eyes moved around the piece searching out the interesting details. I like the brass-colored plate around the doorknob. The hard-edges of some items are complimented by the soft-edges of the gray drapery and a nice contrast to the curves of the guitar and the playful summer hat. Your art just gets better and better.

This piece is amazing! Jake I love your artwork. You’ve gotten more and more creative and expressive with your art. I love the American flag in one box and the Lincoln memorial in another. Neatly and precisely done. You’ve created special artwork since you were about three. Keep growing as an artist, your work is special.

Great job, especially the teeth. The man does look very realistic. Love his collars and neck. Interesting composition.

Very low contrast. Hard to see. But I think there's a person in it. Good job.

This ia a favorite of mine. The loving cup is very nicely done and the number 1 tilted and shaded adds nice contrast. Good job!

This piece makes me laugh. Very original and creative. Keep up the good work.

This is a very interesting piece. My eyes wander all over it which is what a great piece of art should make happen. I like the green and yellow combo. Good work, Jake!

I would spend the night is this sweet little cabin. The smoke rising from the chimney makes the cabin look very cozy. I'd take the canoe out for a spin and hike around the trees. I really like this piece. And I like the mountains in the background too.

Great piece, as usual, especially like the "green-eye" rectangle. Your lion looks friendly perhaps he should look ferocious instead. But I like this work very much. Good Work!!

Very nice Jake, love the shadows and they way you drew the figures so that part of them is off the page so that leaves it to our imagination to fill in the missing parts. You've done great this year, I can see the improvement in your work. I love seeing your artwork. What's next???

I really like this piece. I think you did a great job. The Italian artist Modigliani drew/painted elongated faces and figures. He's always been an inspiration to me. I like the elongated legs on your figures. Keep up the good work. I can see that you are "growing" as at artist. But then, I remember being amazed at your art when you were four years old. Good job once more!!!!!

Well, I must say that this piece shows a lot of emotion. There's no color to comment on and the drawing is rather dark so I can't see it well. It reminds me of a well-known piece titled, "The Scream" done by E. Munch in 1893. I can hear the scream in your piece, your eyes look angry or desperate, the lines between your eyebrows add to the emotion in your work. I think making your mouth larger than the rest of your face draws the viewer's attention to your "scream," and if I listen I can almost hear your long, drawn-out sound. Emotion plus in this piece. Keep up the good work!!

I Love this! You used some beautiful bright colors when you created this piece. The orange-red/orange/yellow sphere and the purple/blue/green sphere caught my attention. The orange, blue and purple in juxtaposition appeal to my eye too. Usually I would prefer an odd number of items but in this piece the even-number, six, works very well keeps my eye moving around the page. I like how two spheres are off the edge of the pink surface, it adds drama. Your use of shading is very effective. Keep up the good work. I like the greenish line separating pink from yellow too.

Good work, as always. You've inspired me to create my own self-portrait. I like the color of the chair, and the color of your shirt, they make great teamwork color friends.. Faces are not the easiest thing to draw but you've make a great first portrait. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing what you'll do next. . .

I like your "Tree of Me." It's a little "light" so can't see everything clearly, but I see a trampoline, pool, I think I see you with Sam, and I really like the spotlight shining down onto your "life." Is that a tuba that I see? Not sure. A tree needs a "star" at the top and you gave this tree one and I love the spotlight, lighting up your tree and your life. This is a "happy" drawing, "happy" just like you always are. I think I see you running and you've always been a "gazelle," when you run. Just a little suggestion, maybe make the drawing a little darker so we can easily see the detail. As always, I love to see your work and you always "surprise" with your art. Keep drawing and painting . . . it's fun to see what you'll come up with next!

Circles, circles everywhere . . . I love repetition. Ice at the North Pole, Ice at the South Pole and circles in the air, circles on the other planet, and something dark and sinister at the right bottom of the page. Are those space ships from another planet or fish swimming in the atmosphere? I like all your artwork and I love the happy sun peeking out from the other side of the earth.

Amazing as usual. I love how you show perspective in this work. And the floating structures are well done, I like to think of them as falling down from space and landing in a desert with only a straight road with a center yellow line. A place where no-one and nothing else lives. Considering; "What is inside these 3-D shapes? Food, newspapers, people from another planet, a stray dog, a fox, who knows? I really like the pink of the triangle with the light aqua o the box next to it. Can't wait to see your next piece of work. You make me want to sit down and draw. Inspiring indeed.

Wow Jake! You're getting better and better! I love the flowers and the colors that you chose for them, it goes well with the background color. You always have a lot of action in your artwork. The flowers are still but the background shows a lot of "depth and I see motion. The darker purple line around the outer rim of the flowers makes them stand out, it's kind of a purple-blue but dark and so it gives the flowers a strong "edge" and makes the eye of the viewer move about and take in the delicate centers of the blossoms.

This piece is very interesting. Again, lots of "motion" in your work. The birds are leaving, the wind is so strong the little tree is blinding but there is light shining down upon the water. It's a "hopeful" piece. Although life can be difficult there is light shining somewhere or soon. The large tree in the foreground gives stability to the piece. Good work again, Jake.

This painting has a lot of "motion" in it. The clouds the ocean waves and what I believe is the setting sun. Everything is in turmoil. Wind, water, clouds and the sunset, all are turbulent. I especially like the sea waves in motion and the darker blue strip in the middle makes my eyes move toward the setting sun. Good work once again!!

What I like best about this painting is the lines that flow through the painting left to right they cause my eyes to move about the paining. I like the bold colors in juxtaposition to others, especially the purple at the top next to the orange. The greens and blues are restful colors while the oranges and reds "pop" out of the painting. Keep up the good work.

I really like this piece. The colors are bold, the lines draw my eyes around the piece and the eye of the bird and the angle of his beak show that this bird has an "attitude." The "eye" feathers add to the intensity of this painting. The bird's shadow is nicely done also.

I think this piece shows good "movement." I can really "feel" the air blowing about, the trees bending due to the wind and the birds hastening to get to calmer skies. The sand even appears to be blowing about due to the strong wind. I like the colors that the artist chose for the sky and water. They are strong colors and make me "feel" the turbulence. The touch of white on the closest/lowest bird is a nice touch. I really like this piece.
