Beautiful use of framing and composing your shot. Well balanced. Draws me in to explore the dark and light. A universe within a frame. Very talented with a camera!!! Keep taking photos, Sofie, this is a strong medium for you!!!

Doesn't water bring so many happy thoughts? This photo makes me want to soak my feet, have a picnic and look for fireflies...... WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for your technique, the way you captured the movement and the play of light on the water is superb! Aren't the patterns in the sand interesting! Nice composition, especially the upper left quadrant with the bits of sparkle. Nanny was watching you!!

My favorite Shel Silverstein poem! I even wrote a song to go with this once, but I don't remember it anymore. Maybe we can re-write it together on mandolin/ukelele sometime. Love you!

Reminds me of our Christmas Eve party only the lights go out. If I look at it without glasses, it looks like they all want to eat the egg in the right hand lower corner. Are they singing?!!!

Wow, Sofie, this is powerful. I would like to talk to you sometime about your research and what you found out about global poverty, even though I'm sure it was challenging to learn about.

Sofie, This is so powerful. The tear, and scar and chain AND the expression on the face really show how hard it is to not be safe or have food or people to help. Her details on her shirt, and her hair sections capture attention right away. Great job honey! So proud of you!!!!

I love this, Sofie. What does the black around the eye socket area represent? Did you imagine this person wearing a mask? A hijab? Something else? Whatever it is, I think it is very interesting.
