Love this. The rainbows, the gradation of the colors, the purple mountains and then-to top it off, I am a sucker for geometric shapes.

This one makes me feel like I am looking up to the center of a big top tent at a circus and the black and white poles are holding the tent up. This looks like it was a lot of fun to do.

OMG-So cool. Nice job on the copying. And the fact that it is a Shrinky Dink-I cannot tell you how amazing that is-I LOVE SHRINKY DINKS. I had a whole collection of Smurfs Shrinky Dinks when I was your age. Absolutely love them-and what a cool idea. Great job!

Hey-so I love this idea. Do you have specific assignments or do you just have to do 1 each day? If you can do 1 each day of your own choosing, ask you mom if you can look up on youtube "The Art Sherpa". She has awesome tutorials for beginners. She uses paints, but you could watch to learn how to draw some of the things and use colored pencils or markers as well. Won't look exactly the same-but she is cool to watch and she has awesome colored hair! Her name is Cinnamon. Take a gander at her channel.

Nice. You should try watercolors-they will give you the color gradations you are doing with the crayons.

Well Miss Mary. I really like this one. I looked up some of Jasper John's artwork. Very nicely done. I hope you learned something about him while you did your art piece. Hi Mary, Auntie Kelly's favorite color is this color blue. I love these mittens. The pattern on each of them matches very well and I love the colors you chose to match with the blue. I can almost see the snowflakes sparkling as they fall from the sky. When you are off school for Christmas break, maybe we can come over to your house and you can play with Markie. So proud of you for how well you are doing in school, Mary. Keep up the good work. Love, Auntie Kelly

Mary, I have to completely agree with Auntie Kelly! I love this picture SO very much. Your caterpillar is awesome! It seems everything in nature is having a great day in this picture! I like how you used the green marker to give the grass more "depth." Maybe we should make this one into some postcards for friends and family!!!! ~Mom
- on October 22, 2015
OOOOH Mary. I absolutely love this one. What a great use of your A-B pattern. And I love the colors you used for the caterpillar. What kind of different art supplies did you use on this? Maybe mommy can ask you and she can email me back and tell me. Did you cut out the circles for the caterpillar or were they already cut out and you placed them in a pattern? And your butterfly looks like he is flying in the air and having a wonderful time. What a great use of colors in this picture. Great job Miss Mary. I am very proud of you. Love, Auntie Kelly
