This is the inspiration for the mosaic put together in the Art Club. It was created by Vonashie in 2006.

This is the best simi-Mural the school has ever sponsored. I like what I know. That the tiles are mostly recycled and picture student friends relaxing having a conversation . The painting compliments the work and the two should not be separated. Well done Art Club at OPA. Who framed it making it exhibit ready, the teacher.

This is the best display of Art in the system. Why can't we have more. I like to see them and stare. They represent whats good in the word of human struggle.

This display was over sized and I was amazed when I saw it. It is what I remembered of of our Black History in America presentation. Thanks Art Club.

This very large acrylic painting of Martin Luther King was painted by Art Club students in 2007 for the express purpose of showing him off at his time of the year. Each year he is restored by new art students and hung honorably in our Lobby Gallery. This year, that process was stopped at Central Office. We did not have permission. Martin could not be hung. This was our Black History moment. Art Supervisor said no, cannot hang this old art with two dabs of Hot Glue. It would destroy the wall. She did not provide an alternative so it remained in the basement. 4 students restored it, even with no budget, no supplies because of their love for the process and this giant of a man. They were Krishnado, Jade, Alick, Zarina and several others. The mural is part of our Cultural History but has been rejected. How can we reject Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.?

When I look at this crumpled drawing I think of a homeless person with lots of personality. He is really a winner who gave up. Look at hi face.

This is a great collection of Acrylic Paintings from the Art Gallery School Exhibition. I especially love the happened color mixture. It is very rhymetic. They make the eye move from one creation to the other.
