I particularly like the colors of this piece. I think if you changed the dimensions so that it were a square I would like it more.

I like the idea behind this piece. It's amazing how those words can be in their own "house" but can also go visiting for awhile. Ugly may visit beautiful and cause unhappiness and beautiful can visit ugly and bring happiness. It reminds me how hard it is to control our thoughts about ourselves.

Hi, Em, Your Uncle Rolfe still has one of these and Eli just used it and solved it. I really like how it look like it is suspended in space. Love you forever, Grandma T

Where does the road go; that's what I would like to know. It makes me want to take a trip with the destination unknown; just take off. Grandpa T. always wanted to do that.

I had no idea that you hand to create this blindfolded for an exercise with people with disabilities. What a difficult task.

When I first glanced at this piece of art I felt dread. The young girl depicted here seems alone and outside of society by herself. She has her hands tucked behind her back. (By the way, this is such an improvement over the past representations of the body.) The coat, the lines, the buttons all add to the overall effect. It even is noticeable that her strawberry blond hair has depth hanging both over her shoulders and her back. She even has her head tilted down in a bit of sorrow. The written words on her face bring an eary final touch to the work. My thought is this could be a picture in the book, "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" by Ransom Riggs.

Wow, Emily. This is just your second assignment at using Photoshop to create art. With this one, I feel emotions. I may be a bit of a geek, but this makes me feel like I am standing at the door of the TARDIS and looking out at a vastly wonderful place in the universe I have never seen before. Planets, fading suns, and the immensity of the stars. You may not understand but in the upper right corner, there is a J.J. Abrams(Star Wars/ Star Treck) lens flare effect. And all of this on your second assignment. Imagine the worlds you could create!

Hi, Emily, I really like the colors you chose. I really like your explanation for how your artwork developed. I'll tell you a story about what I thought when I heard the artwork was titled, "The Dot," when I see you.

"The Dot" is an example of a masterful minimalistic piece of art that will take generations to unveil its true meaning. Like a fossil found in the walls of the Grand Canyon, "The Dot" may be the most important find of this century.
