This is great. I really like the use of color. You have perfectly captured the elongated Modigliani neck and sense of the character's aloofness. Lovely and very perceptive. Lots of love xxx

Hi Iona - this is very interesting, not too sure what to make of it :) How did you do it ? I think that you carved out the shapes from the bottom of a styrofoam cup and then dipped it in paint and used it as a print ? It is growing on me... Yes, I like it !!! Lots and.ots of love, xxxxxx

Hi Iona - this is a wonderful drawing: a happy witch and her cat "familiar"flying through a sunset sky ! I bet that you and Puffin would love to be able to do this :) The colours are really lovely and it is great that you are able to make them both look so relaxed and happy, just using a silhouette :) You are very lucky to have a teacher who introduces you to some many new ways of creating exciting and interesting images. Lots and lots of levels be to you and we'll done :)

Hi Iona - I so love this painting: the colours are wonderful ! I am going to ask Grandpa to have a look as he loves Vincent Van Gogh. He will probably want you to do this picture again, especially for him, so he can put it on the wall of his study or bedroom where it will make him smile when he thinks of you :). Lots and lots of love, xxxxxx

Hello Iona - this reminds me of New York. We were there just before Halloween in October. You've really captured the feeling of a bustling city, with lots of people going about their busy lives. Lovely work. Lots of love to you, Auntie Caroline xxxxx

Iona this is really good. I can believe it has just been discovered in a secret cave - the academics will be trying to work out what it tells us about lost civilisations. What was your story behind the figures you have drawn? Los of love to you, Auntie Caroline xxxx

Iona - this is great ! I can see two hunters: one wth a bow and arrow and the other with a shield ? A fantastic deer with huge antlers and is that a bison, or woolly mammoth ? Not too sure about the White animals - prehistoric rabbits :) I really love the rich colours and the the way that you have mixed beige and white to look like an ancient, dusty cave wall ! Oops - almost missed the hunters' great headdresses ! Lots and lots of love, Auntie Linda xxxxxx

Hi Iona - another lovely drawing :) I can see a large fish, a shoal of six little fishes, a jellyfish, an octopus/squid (I am not very gifted in marine biology !) and is that a prawn with the legs ? I really like the clump of seaweed and the wavy strand of seaweed that looks like it is moving with the sea current. You are really great at showing motion in all of your drawings :) Lots and lots of love, Auntie Linda xxxxxx

Hi Iona - this is a really lovely drawing: it made me so happy as it reminded me of our family summer holidays together :) Everyone is having such fun here, with lots of different things happening so it makes it so interesting. I love the funny bits too: the fish with the swimmers and the snoozing on the sun bed :) (Is that Mummy and Auntie Caroline in the sea and Granny and Me on the sun beds, with me snoozing ?) It's great to see that your black and white drawings are as imaginative and interesting as your ones in colour. I really love the way you showed the girls jumping upwards to catch/throw the ball by pointing their feet - it really show them moving ! Everyone in the drawing is so cleanly drawn too: you really are a great artist Lots and lots of love for making me smile: thank you for creating this great drawing and bringing back great memories
