I like this pansy a lot! The shape of it isn’t totally symmetrical which makes it even more realistic given the crazy weather and the way the wind bends the petals this spring. The colors are spot on!

Syd, you have such an incredible sense of color. You just used two, but they work perfectly together. Also, you did create an optical illusion. I had to keep staring at it for a few moments to get a picture in my mind of the whole thing. I just love your works of art.

Wow, Syd!!! Another very interesting work of art. Your sense of color is really wonderful. I'll be interested to talk to you about how you arrived at this concept for your sunflower tile. Am so happy that you are continuing to pursue your art education. Love, Nana

Wow Syd, this is another fantastic piece!! I just love that you made your snowman wearing a top hat! The candy canes are a perfect touch to combine the warm holiday season with the cold winter. You are becoming a very creative artist. Each art piece that you create gives me a big smile and I think that art is meant to give others enjoyment as well as yourself. You are really becoming memorable. Love you lots. Nana

Sydney, I LOVE this snowman…looks like he's leaning into a windy snowstorm and not losing his top hat. Perfect for this winter. What did you use to create this? I'll order some cards to send to some friends and relatives to show how creative you are. Keep going. Lots of love, Gamma

Wow syd, this is just another example of your very vivid imagination. I love this piece because it really does represent some of the art techniques that you are being taught and it's really kind of scary which I'm sure is what you were going for. Your art expressions are maturing beautifully. Love your works. Love Nana

FABULOUS, Sydney. Did you have the special brush they use to make such fat and thinner strokes? The beauty in your watercolor, for me, lies in its simplicity. I also think you are very lucky to have such an awesome teacher that's teaching you these techniques. She has certainly tuned into and turned on your talent and creativity. Your artistic 'eye' will bring you joy forever. GO GIRL! I'm very proud of you. xoxo Gamma

Hi, When I first looked at it I thought it was a sailboat with a huge colorful sail. Then I thought, no, its a relief with great colors. Like it alot. I hung the color burst picture on the refrigerator where I see it all the time. I like your work - Serengeti, Picasso are favorites. LOL, Gamma

At first I thought this was a picture of Benny, but then I thought you wouldn't draw those ears on Benny! I was glad to hear you tried to draw Benny's ears but the teacher wouldn't let you. I love the background colors and that you've named the picture 'Blue Dog'. I am very proud of you. I also like 'Serengeti' - its like the sun just set. I hope Dad gets Blue Dog postcards soon. XO, Gamma
