Audrey, what a fabulous treehouse. The music and color make the treehouse a very happy place to spend time. Could that be you singing in the treehouse? You included so many fun items that I could stay there for hours. Add some food, and I could stay for days. You are so artistically talented. Miss you. Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi Sweetie. Your sphere project is superb. Your use of pastels to create shadows and dimension is excellent. The sphere is so realistic that I feel I can reach out and grab it of the paper. Another great art project, Miss Audrey! Love and miss you, Grandma

Hi Audrey. I think I recognized this sign right away. But your heart symbol confirmed my guess. " Love " was a great sign to choose for your clay model. It definitely represents how you make others feel loved, and also represents how your family and friends love you. Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi, Audrey, I like the idea of a Kindness Box. We should use every opportunity to act kindly towards others. You certainly succeeded with sharing that message. We also learn about you with your self-portrait. We learn you love sports, especially Ohio State. Obviously, you recognize how one can spread kindness through sports and still be competitive. Now when Papa and I golf, I will kindly tell him good shot. Of course, I will always try to beat him. Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi Audrey, I don't know the assignment topic, so I will guess. I see four smiley faces with tears. This project looks like a rubbing. My title would be, " I laughed so hard I cried." Let me know how close my guess is to your art project. Love and miss you! Grandma

Hi Audrey, I looked up Giacometti and learned about his sculpture "Walking Man." The information was very interesting. The limbs of the Walking Man seem to be endless. I love your interpretation of his sculpture that has your man walking on his hands. I would love to know the materials you used for your sculpture. Super job. You must be very excited about Christmas. I wish I could see you Christmas Day. I will be thinking of you. Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi Audrey, Spectacular art project as usual. Your astronaut surrounded by colorful objects and planets in the solar system is most creative. Hi Audrey, This project is outstanding. Your reflections from two different angles accurately show what we would see if sitting on Miss Pickle's stool. Only through your drawings in the mirrors can we see her pretty face. I love your use of pastel colors. This assignment seems very challenging to me, and you did an A+ job! Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi Audrey, You are a very talented young lady; you are a singer and an artist. I feel like I am viewing your Chinese landscape through an open window. It looks so real. The tree seems to be the focal point of your drawing. It reminds me of a Bonsai Tree. I miss coloring with you. Fantastic artwork, Miss Audrey! Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi Audrey, Your owl looks exactly like the owl that sits in a tree in our backyard during winter. I must send you a picture of it. Your shades of color emphasize how feathery your owl is. Of course, it's dominant feature is its eyes, and yellow is a perfect color. Super job as usual! Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi Audrey, Great job creating your city. Your use of shapes to design your buildings was outstanding. I played a game with myself to try to identify the different shapes. I found squares, rectangles, ovals, circles, and triangles. There were almost too many to count. It must have been quite challenging using so many shapes in your skyscrapers. I named your city Audreyville. Super art work, Sweetie. Love Hugs! Grandma

Hi Audrey, happy spring. I love this project. I am familiar with Andy Warhol's work. He is from Pittsburgh, PA where I am from. I think a museum was created in his honor in Pittsburgh. Your soup can is FANTASTIC! Your colors are very eye catching. I must compliment you on your neat printing and cursive. Nicely done! Great idea to illustrate the chicken and the rice. Andy Warhol would be proud of your work. This project deserves a frame in Miss Audrey's Art Museum. Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi Miss Audrey. We got a major blizzard this week as you know. Your Northern Lights Polar Bear arrived at a perfect time. It reminds me our New England winter. A polar bear would be very happy living in my backyard buried in snow. Your bear looks to be young. And I love its friendly face. As usual, outstanding artwork. Love Hugs, Grandma

Dear Audrey, Your Polar bear is the cutest. It (not knowing if it's a boy or girl) looks so gentle and cuddley and the snowy night sky just feels cold. The way the Polar bears like it. Hi Miss Audrey, it looks like you are studying one of the most well-know painters of all time. You certainly successfully captured Picasso's Blue Period in your portrait. He did look at the world a little differently from most people. You are learning so much in your art class. And your Grandma is learning from you. I put on a happy face every time I receive one of your art assignments. Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi Audrey, your skeleton artwork came on the best day, Halloween. The cemetery is the perfect setting for a dancing skeleton I would think some other scary creatures could be at the dance party. Perhaps vampires? You know they love the nightlife. I wonder what music is playing. Maybe they are dancing to a song called The Monster Mash which Grandma used to listen to when she was very young. Your art project is just BOOtiful! Love Hugs, Grandma
-- Janice

Hi Audrey, your picture arrived on Halloween. It was a perfect Halloween card from you to me. The bone shapes on your skeleton show excellent movement details. The cemetery setting is the perfect place for a skeleton to have a Halloween party. I'm thinking there are other scary creatures dancing around the tombstones. Perhaps a few vampires? Vampires love the night life, you know! I bet the cemetery creatures are dancing to a song from Grandma's dancing days called "Monster Mash". Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi Audrey, this Artsonia email came to our house while Papa and I were visiting you. I don't remember seeing this piece in your Portfolio. I must say your projects always create a happy mood. In this particular piece, the cacti appear to be smiling. I love the little snake crawling on the sand. As always, your color contrasts are vibrant. Your year with art was just spectacular. Miss you. Audrey, the rain and the flowers remind me of the saying, "April showers bring May flowers." Your flower umbrella looks like it collapsed because the rain was so heavy. Then the umbrella appeared to become the head of your person. I love your choice of yellow and pink. They make me think spring. I know that I could use your picture to inspire me to write a funny story about a little girl caught in a spring rainstorm while walking home from school. I bet you could write your own story with this illustration in it. Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi Audrey, Wow! Wow! Wow! You get a triple WOW for this painting. Your lily pad so reminds me of Monet's work. If this project were a test about Monet, you would get an A+. Now I know what Koi fish look like. Your use of water colors is brilliant. Your painting deserves to be hung in an art museum next to Monet's. Can't wait to see you and Amelia and Luke. Love, Grandma

Hi Audrey, Your lizard looks so life-like. It is hard to believe it is made out of clay. I love your choice of colors because they remind me of spring, which I hope comes soon. Your lizard could safely hide in colorful spring flowers without being seen. I think I will name your lizard Rosa, Spanish for pink. You are a very talented artist. Miss you! Love Hugs, Grandma

Hi Audrey, This picture certainly looks like a germ. I like the triangles you used for its eyes. And orange is a good color for a germ. It would be nice if we could see germs, then we might not get sick. Your understanding of symmetry is excellent. We need to name this germ. I am thinking Sherm the Germ. Love you, Grandma

Wow, Audrey, your artistic talent shows in this picture. You did an outstanding job with colorful details, especially on the wallpaper. Even the cheese looks real. The mice seem to be discussing how to go after the cheese. I think they might see the cat hiding behind it. I love the cat's huge eyes. I think the mice will figure out a way to get the cheese without the cat catching them. Love you, Grandma
