Artist Statement: This picture is titled"Smile!" I made it using oil pastels and water color paint. I chose this scene because I wanted to show happiness. I was inspired to do this by a line book. What is in this picture is lines, hearts, and lines.

Artist Statement: This picture is titled "Home Of The Salamander." I made it using oil pastels, tissue paper, and water color paint. I did this scene because I wanted to show peace and I wanted people to think "imagine having a peaceful world all of my own!" The picture is of a multi-colored salamander, grass, dirt, rocks, and a waterfall.

Artist Statement: This picture is titled "Happy Birthday Hanaka And Manaka!". I made it using foam, a sharpie, and some fabric. I choose this scene because we were assigned to make a family quilt about a fun time we had. The picture is of our friends Hanaka and Manaka, mommy, a carpet, a bowl, a pot, 2 tables, a window, and a banner. -- Skylar

Artist Statement: This picture is titled "I Like Paint!" I made it using a pencil, a sharpie, crayons, and markers. I chose this scene because I like to paint. I did this picture because we were instructed to do a picture on what we like. What's in this picture is a bucket of water, a paint board, water color paint, acrylic paint and a paint brush. -- Skylar

Artist Comment: This is a picture of my life so far. They represent what I've done in my life. For example, the blue building looks like a princess because I've dressed up as a princess before. I was inspired by James Rizzi. He liked to draw city buildings. From left to right (red building = silliness/when I went to the fun house, orange building = Halloween/swimming, green building = frog (because I love of animals)/face painting, light green building = meet the aliens from Y summer camp, blue building = princess, gray building = my uncle Ben/going to the gym, peach building = loving mommy)
