My dear Emily, designing a bedroom; just like you are doing at home. I like the colorful items on the shelves in this room, and the clock. A "V" on the rug must have some significance, so I'm offering that it must mean "Vivacious" for you! I love you, Em. Grandma

My dear Emily, Your "Valentina Ballerina" makes my "Heart" smile! I adore the way you have incorporated "hearts" into her braids, her eyepatch, her tiny little freckles, the charming necklace, and beautiful red dress. As always in your artwork, you have designed with great detail. I love you, Em! Grandma

Emily, you have created a new SuperHero - Valentina - with long brown hair (that you have braided). The Heart eye-patch obviously ties in with her name - a nice touch! I like the detail in your picture. You will have to tell us about Valentina's exploits. Love Grandpa

My sweet Emily, it must have been a challenge to be given the assignment to draw an "organic map." You met that challenge with your clever use of colors and geometric designs. Great job. Hugs, Grandma G

Emily, it looks like you went for some sushi! It looks like real food! Wonderful colors and nice chopsticks. You'll have to tell me about the procedure for creating ceramics such as these. Each of your pieces of art that you have created throughout the years has been exciting. Hopefully you can continue as you move into middle school. Love Grandpa

Emily, you have created yet another outstanding piece of art. First, the colors in your sky really catch my eye. Then the little birds peering out of the bird feeder are delightful and happy, obviously waiting for you to feed them. I also like the perspective of looking up at the bird feeder and how you have adjusted its size accordingly. Another "WOW" project! Love Grandpa

My dear Emily, there are so many aspects of this drawing that I love. Overall, it is "alive and happy!" The eyes of the snowgirl bring her to life as she looks into the bright starry sky. I love that she has a cup of hot chocolate to keep her warm! The moon is so bright that your sledder snowman, must be Colin, is wearing sunglasses! Your imagination and talent absolutely delight me! Love, Grandma
- on January 19, 2016
Emily, your snowmen at night is wonderful. You have captured the darkness of the night, brightened by the bright full moon and twinkling stars! I must admit that the eyes on the snowman are the most attractive I have ever seen. You certainly have a gift in this regard. Keep up the great art work! Grandpa

Emily...this can only be your cell! I see your huge heart, which is full of love. And of course a tennis shoe, since you love to jump around, especially when you're walking Mabel. Now I must admit I am a bit confused by the little face sticking her tongue out...that must be some trait that you inherited, perhaps from your grandfather? I love all the colors and design. Obviously a lot of thought and fun went into your marvelous piece of art. Love Grandpa

Emily, your chair is an outstanding piece of art! It is very realistic because of the depth that you have utilized and the chair's relationship to the stone pavement. I just want to sit on it! The colors you have chosen also adds to the chair's uniqueness. Great job as usual! Love Grandpa Green

Oh, Emily, this is extraordinary! You have blended all the shades of blue and green to resemble the waters of a lake or river. It is very lifelike. And, the sizes of your flowers and the shading of the colors used on them really gives depth to your picture. Even the shadowing around the leaves and pad, as well as the darker shade of blue on the left side make this picture "pop!" Great job, Emily. I look forward to your next artwork. I love you. Grandma
