Hilarious. If this is what makes you scream, I'm thrilled. I'd be concerned if my kitchen were the background. mom

Mara, What a serene feeling you have created in this artwork as you and your horse seem to glide and float in midair. Beautiful! Love, Baba

Mara this is pretty cool. Looks like some Hopi indian art. Like something you'd find scrawled on some rocks in the desert. I look forward to your next project. Keep em coming Mara. Keep em coming.

Mara, What an exotic and bejeweled elephant. An elephant that dresses this good would be welcome in any circus. You might be getting a call from Barnum & Bailey. Happy St. Patricks day. Ujak George

Mara - this reminded me of Uncle Paul, who sat at our kitchen table in the house on Euclid Avenue, Hillborough, when I was maybe 5 and tried to teach me how to draw birch trees. He was grandma's uncle - and he loved to paint and draw. Mom

Hi Mara, Babino, thank you so much for the walk through the forest in the fall. I really like the tall strong birch trees! Love, Baba
-- Smiljana
Posted 14 years ago
Mara, what an incredibly beautiful group of birch trees you have drawn here. I'm almost speechless. And the red foilage beneath the trees. Is that a meandering brook in the backround? This art you created may very well be your best to date. The colors just jump out and grab you. Kinda makes me wish I was there. Bravo Mara.

Well well well, I have looked everywhere & can not find the chair or the monster. Where did you hide it since your so good at hiding things ?? Great drawing :-D

Hi Mara, You"re latest artwork is quite appropriate for the weather we've been having. Is that you under that umbrella? I sure hope that girl doesn't try to cross the street with that umbrella down over her eyes. I always loved the rain and lightning and thunder. When I moved away it just wasn't the same as it is around here and I missed it. I like the subject and I like this painting very much. And if this is you under that umbrella, I hope you're wearing some good boots. Ujak

Hi Mara, Cute outfit with yellow boots(?)--love the belt! Your curly locks go with your long lashes. You must be looking at something interesting. You've captured yourself in this self portrait. Love, Baba

Dear Mara, Uh-oh--I feel an oops coming--unless she catches herself before the fall! Oh well, that's part of learning. Keep skating, Babino! Love, Baba

Dear Mara, Babino, I love the umbrella design and bright pink raincoat! What a wonderful walk in the rain--with here a splash, there a splish-splash. Great job! Love, Baba

Mara, Plenty of rain & of course a "pink" raincoat is the way to go. Is that Kaitlin's purple umbrella ? Great art work. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORKS OF ART. GRANDMA

Hey Mara 206, Me and Prababa were just admiring your latest artwork.Prababa says, Aw isn't that cute. I like the brush strokes that you did on the ice. Makes it look like real ice. I'm a little confused on the skater bending over though, is he or she a person, or some kind of bug? I'll study it a little more and I'm sure I'll figure it out. Ujak

Hi Mara,I was just looking at your latest artwork, and I think that you really managed to capture the essence of a germ.Germs should be scary looking like the one you drew because, germs are just plain scary.I have to admit though, when I seen your germ I got right up and went and washed my hands again. I look forward to what you'll be drawing next. Ujak.

This GERM looks like something growing in my garbage disposal under the rubber catcher. Mouth open to receive any scrape or morsal of food. Always lingers, always hopeful for more. Keep up the great art work & I will work on my germ control. the "older" grandma

Hi Mara, As I pushed you and your sister in your double stroller, not so long ago, we often walked through Lincoln Park Zoo crossing a bridge, resembling the one in your painting. We would look over the rail admiring the beautiful water lilies in the pond. Beautiful job, Babino! Love, Baba

Mara, I really like your ladybugs. Too bad they're not in a better mood though.Something upsetting must have happened to them to make them feel this way. The same as us. You know when we have a bad day or things don't turn out as we would have liked them to,we can get grouchy too. The other day a lady bug was crawling around on my arm in my truck while I was driving. This startled me at first, but then I realized he(or she) was only there to say hello and maybe wish me a little luck.I'm pretty sure these grouchy ladybugs will cheer up in no time at all. All it really takes is for one good thing to happen to them. Just one. Keep those ideas of yours flowing Mara,Your getting better all the time. Ujak.

Hey Mawa, Those are some interesting looking cardinals. Did they go shopping? Is that their silver designer shopping hanging on the tree below them. I'm trying to think of what a cardinal might need from the store. I love the expressions on their faces.Especially their eyes. The one on the right looks like he's looking at you and trying to figure out what your doing, as your drawing him. Is that possible,I don't know. One thing is for sure, you are getting better as an artist and I can't wait for what you'll think of next. But I will. Ujak

Mara, Are these the 2 birds who sit on my truck mirror admiring themselves & leaving poop all over my truck ? I think they are building a nest nearby & soon little ones will enjoy the mirrors. Keep up the great art work. Grandpa

Dear Mara, Pretty as a picture, especially with the red frame. Even though we are looking forward to spring , your winter scene is a reminder of how beautiful trees, and rooftops are when covered in snow. Great job! Love, Baba

Dear Mara, Babino, These apples look good enough to eat-- straight from the orchard! The shadows cast by the apples look so real. Maybe I'll just frame them to hang in my kitchen with my other fruit pictures. Keep up the great work! Love, Baba

Way to go Mara,I didn't know you had any artwork until Baba told me a few minutes ago. I was expecting to go on line and find one painting in your portfolio. Imagine my surprise when I found two. I like the red eyes on the blackbird sitting on the pumpkin. I think it's a cool piece of artwork. I was also real impressed by your flowers in the vase. That was so well done. Did you just sit down and think these things up? or did you see them and create them? These first two pieces are so good that I am now waiting for what you will do next. And I just know it will be good. Thanks for the treat Mara. Ujak George

Well, Mara, It seems that I will have another apron with flowers hanging in my kitchen. Your beautiful flowers will definitely brighten it up. Love, Baba

Dear Mara, I love the way the pumpkins look as if they are tilted or leaning. The bird is ready to take flight. Great job!!! Love, Baba

Hi Mara, These flowers & vase would look lovely on my table, if only by some magic I could turn them into real flowers. Looking forward to the next piece of your art. Love, grandma
