Hi Colin, that looks like the kinds of corn they grow on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona. They grow blue, white, red and yellow varieties. Blue is their favorite. Maybe I should bring some blue corn flour back on my next trip and we can make blue corn pancakes. Anyway, I'm not sure I get all this. It looks like a map of the United States underneath (see Mexico, the Gulf of Mexico, Florida or Texas?). We need to talk about this. Love, Grandpa

Hey, Colin. You see trees just like this when you travel with your folks in Minnesota, don't you. Did you know that the Native American tribes in Minnesota would use the bark from these trees when they made their canoes?
