Absolutely LOVE the LAYERING!!!!!!!!!! Has some depth to it! Love, Bobbie

This one seems to tell more of a story than the last one...like the color and the enfolding hands above and below the triangles..this technique must give you lots of ideas because you can almost any shape without doing the painting yourself. So good to learn all these different approaches to creating art.

This one is really complex, Khush and quite modern in that I can imagine or see lots of different things even though you may not have planned a particular subject. Really interesting!

Lovely 3D effect! xoMom
Posted 4 years ago by Mom

Khush: You have done some incredible artwork in all sorts of mediums it looks like. What is meant by weaving. Are you using something other than paint? I like it...even the background.
Posted 4 years ago by Sandy

I love the colors and the 3-D effect.
Posted 4 years ago by Susan

A lot of what they have you working on now, Khush, doesn't talk to me that much but I think your technically doing great work. And this one is certainly colorful and and the design is very is interesting. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing this with me!!
Posted 4 years ago by Grandfather

Tell me a little more about this piece. What is the medium used? How did you get the different blues? Is it on top of another one? I suspect you like blue, Khush! I think I've mentioned before! I like blue too!
Posted 4 years ago by Sandy

I love these colors, with just a little hint of pink!!
Posted 4 years ago by Bobbie

Love those colors!
Posted 4 years ago by Laurel

So, is this your friend's name? When you say jelly, what kind of substance did you use on the background? I think I have mentioned before that blue is a color you enjoy using! How did you keep it so straight within the paper? Or is is glued to another larger piece. I must say, Khush, your instructor has given you some interesting projects! It also gives you a way to express your feelings and creativity!

I love these blue blue colors. The A Y and I can be both backwards and frontwards, but not the S!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted 4 years ago by Susan

Hi, Khush! Thank you, as always, for sending me your artistic creations. Beautifully done as they usually are. But I don't even know what jelly art work is so you will have to enlighten me so I can be properly impressed. Thanks for sending and do tell me what it is when we next email or talk.

I think this beautiful planter will set off any plant beautifully. Shinny bejeweled lovely pot.
Posted 4 years ago by Bobbie

Interesting. Looks strong and able to do its job, as you say, Khush, of holding a plant and water. The green comes through well and I don't know what material this is. Is it clay? The color though is not exacly uplifting. Anyway, well done.

I love this. It looks like a beautiful bird wing!! Love, Bobbie
Posted 4 years ago by Bobbie

Khush: This reminds me of a bird's wing. Do I understand that it's a book cover? It is hard to see, but it seems dark so I am having a problem seeing how it would work. I never dreamed one could do so much with folding paper with interesting outcomes! You have shown me otherwise.
Posted 4 years ago by Sandy

Khush: Is it a reflection from your face or do you have eyes in the clay pot? Is it brown or a dark color? How tall is it? Did you have to put it in a kiln? Did you use a potter's wheel to make it? I've always wanted to try that and hopefully I can do that some day. I like the shine on it. Can you put something in it? Will it hold water? Sorry, I'm so full of questions!!
Posted 4 years ago by Sandy

I LOVE this work. It reminds me of hidden treasure with jewels all over the outside.
Posted 4 years ago by Bobbie

Khush: I see from the video the type of paper you are using for your folded art work. Was it your choice to use that type of paper or were all the students using it? Creative! It reminded me of a different rock formation that I've seen. With the shine of the paper, I would imagine it's pretty looking at it.
Posted 4 years ago by Sandy

Very interesting. I believe I see your face I (and mask) in the background. What you are doing looks very creative. Love, Bobbie
Posted 4 years ago by Bobbie

Khush: I'm having a hard time seeing it...could your instructor take a closer photo of it? It's just too far away to get a good look at it! It looks like papers put together tightly. Am I right? Then I'll be happy to make a comment!

Love your artwork Kooey! Keep it up, very impressive! XOXO Dad

I LOVE these colors. They look like the colors of a southern ocean!!!
Posted 4 years ago by Bobbie

This one is my favorite piece so far. xoMom
Posted 4 years ago by Laurel (fan)

Very interesting but hard to read! I love hourglasses.
Posted 4 years ago by Bobbie

I am not so much into this paper art but am so pleased to see that you are very talented at creating interesting shapes. Well done.
Posted 4 years ago by Grandfather

I like the mixing of your colors. My question is which is your favorite piece of artwork? I like everything you've done in the blue shades!
Posted 4 years ago by Sandy

Hi, Khush: I LOVE these colors. They remind me of the sea in certain areas. This looks like a water color!.Love, Bobbie
Posted 4 years ago by Bobbie

Thus us true modern art. Love Bobbie
Posted 4 years ago by Bobbie

Khush: Is it made of clay? If you put a plant in it, would water run off or would you need to put pebbles or holes in the bottom? Just a question. I like that you put some words from different cultures on the side of it! Very creative!
Posted 5 years ago by Sandy

One thought on your clay planter, Khush: you might want to put a drainage hole or two in the bottom since most plants will suffer if they are overwatered...by having the holes, if you put too much in it will drain out automatically. Looks functional. good job! Grandafther
Posted 5 years ago by Grandfather

If you decide to keep it as a planter, you will need to poke a few holes in the bottom for drainage. It must have been fun to make it!!!! Love, Grandma Bobbie
Posted 5 years ago by Bobbie

I love the idea of a planter. It will be lovely. Languages of the world to reflect plants of the world?
Posted 5 years ago by Susan

It would help if I knew what the subject of the poster was!!!! It looks interesting. Tell me more. Love, Bobbie

Nice tiger face. Love, Bobbie

What do the Arabic and Greek words mean? Love, grandma Bobbie
Posted 5 years ago by Susan

My goodness, Khush! Your artwork is as good as the cover of a National Geographic magazine! I imagine this tiger is in a zoo enclosure....so sad! I was so lucky to see animals running in the wild as I know you did! Thanks so much!
Posted 5 years ago by Sandy

Very creative, Khush! I like how you put a drawing within the paw print. What animal is it? A wolf? So interesting!
Posted 5 years ago by Sandy

Lovr it! Great idea to make the pictures in the paw print of a wolf! And also love the picture of the wolf baying amid snow covered pine trees...very skillfully done!! You are getting really good, Khush. I am so impressed! Grandfather
Posted 5 years ago by Grandfather

Khush: I wish I could see this artwork, but the image artsonia sent me is very small and untitled. Perhaps you could tell me more about it! Lo e, Bobbie
Posted 5 years ago by Bobbie

Your empathy for all animals ( especially wolves, dogs, and horses), is moving. Thank you for sharing that message with your audience. xoMom
Posted 5 years ago by Mom

I love what you wrote about wolves. They are kind of like us; they want to be accepted and loved for who they are!!!
Posted 5 years ago by Susan

This wolf and statement are different, Khush. Certainly agree with the feelings you express and hope others read and appreciate your support. SO MANY kinds of animals pay the price for human's misuse of them, whether for food or just because they want all the land and space and woods for themselves...can't understand why humans, with so much given to us already, are so ungiving to other creatures...know you will do better and hope your generation will follow your example!
Posted 5 years ago by Grandfather

Hi, Khush: It looks like you put in a lot of work into this. Good job! XOXO
Posted 5 years ago by Bobbie

As I've mentioned to you, Khush, blue is your color. I see you are using it for different techniques in artwork. I love the different shades you are using and what you are doing with it! I envy you because I would like to do the same from home right now! Keep going with your art!

Really nice job Khushie!!!!!!!!

Wonderful! The eyes have it! You got it, Khush! Thanks for sharing it.

I love this as well, really cool colors!

I love this one Khushie!

Hi, Khush: I love the lynx eye. The texture of the fur is great.
Posted 5 years ago by Susan

Great detail, Khush! Think you use the drawing/painting to not only accurately show realistically what the eye looks like, you also imbue the picture with emotion...that eye is aggressive and determined! Well done...you really have talent for drawing and painting and your interest in animals shows through. Cheers to you! Grandfather

It was very interesting to see how you constructed this masterpiece!!!!
Posted 5 years ago by Bobbie

Khush: I think you enjoy drawing animals, birds and insects and I like that you focus on a slightly different view. I liked your first attempt too but I have to say I really like your drawing of a feature of the lynx rather than the whole animal. That is talent!
Posted 5 years ago by Sandy

Like this picture, Khush and fascinated about the process you used to create it. The time lapsed photos suggest you did the first eye and then decided to start anew. The first eye was very good and so is this one....loved seeing the process you used to create it! Thanks, Grandfather

I see that shades of blue is your favorite color and I like it! It makes me happy and maybe it does for you too? Keep it going, Khush!
Posted 5 years ago by Sandy

How in the world did you get the light blue flares so perfectly spaced?? Did you fold the paper over? Love the nuance of blues and green background...very striking, Khush. Do let me know how you made this when you have a sec. Thanks! Grandfather
Posted 5 years ago by Grandfather

Hi, Khush: I get to write two comments: one from my phone and one from my computer!!!!! I love the blue colors of "the eye." The painting is really beautiful.
Posted 5 years ago by Bobbie

How about this title: "eye in the sky" ?

I am so impressed that you have a side of your box for Stillwater, Minnesota! As you know, I am maybe 10 miles from that community. I also like Taj and Nella's side. What is on the other sides? Is it all made of paper? I like your individualism on these projects!
Posted 5 years ago by Sandy

Another project with your personal stamp of identity upon it, Khush. Thanks for sharing it. Grandfather
Posted 5 years ago by Grandfather

I love the box with dogs' names. Is the box painted or is it a real cube.
Posted 5 years ago by Susan

I like the new wolf drawing . His face is a little spunkier than the first wolf drawing.
Posted 5 years ago by Susan

I love the colors of the wolf and the background. It seems to be to be magical and very spiritual.
Posted 5 years ago by Bobbie

Brilliant color, adult subject. You certainly used appropriate colors for the subject you were painting about. Why a cat? Was it given to you by the teacher or are you thinking about it now? As always, Khush, thanks for sending this to me!

Kooey: I love the wolf, very beautiful piece of artwork and I can tell you worked very hard on it! Nicely done! XOXOXO Dad
Posted 5 years ago by Dad

Khush: It is such a tranquil drawing....comforting is also a word that brings to my mind. I like it! I wonder what the dog is looking at. What medium did you use?
Posted 5 years ago by Sandy

I get the feeling that this painting is magical and very spiritual and has a deep connection with nature. It is the blue colors I feel that make this happen.
Posted 5 years ago by Susan

Khush: Love the Shadow Wolf in Blue. Think the outline on his body really shows him off!!!
Posted 5 years ago by Susan

Wouldn't it be great if you really painted as fast as the time lapse shows! !!
Posted 5 years ago by Susan

Love the time lapse video!!!!!
Posted 5 years ago by Bobbie

Will you do the drawing in watercolor now? I'll be interested in seeing it when you have completed it. I just finished a picture of one of the elephants we saw when we were in the "hide" at Kavinga. I'll give it to Jude and Charlie. Thanks for sharing all your artwork. You have a talent!
Posted 5 years ago by Sandy

I'd like to know a little more about this....how did you do this? Is it a wild dog or a dog you are familiar with? It is not Taj or Nella, right? I love your work! You have a real skill and a great imagination!
Posted 5 years ago by Grandma Sandy

Well done, Khush. Seems a certain essence of wolf has been achieved and impressive that you could redo the picture in its smaller version. Good luck with the project and look forward to seeing the finished product whenever you achieve it.
Posted 5 years ago by Grandfather

Did not see that the wolf/dog was there the first time I looked at the "mosaic." Love it.
Posted 5 years ago by Bobbie

I absolutely LOVE the picture of the dog, or perhaps it could be a wolf.
Posted 5 years ago by Bobbie

I like the color choices, Koo! I look forward to seeing the larger version. Mom

Incredible, Khush! That would be great for a postcard or even stationary! I really like the colors. It reminds me of the colors of the sky. You've really come a long ways!
Posted 5 years ago by Sandy

Like your geometrics and choice of blues in this one, Khush. Why did you decide to leave the dog/wolf unpainted? Is it about the canine being a ghost or in your mind as opposed to in reality or is it something else I am not getting?? Thanks for sending this along! Grandfather
Posted 5 years ago by Grandfather

This most recent one is, as someone else commented, about your travels, right? I find the purple color you decided to use for the directions interesting. Did you choose it consciously or just because? Thanks for sending your artwork my way, Khush. Always enjoy seeing what you are up to!! Grandfather
Posted 5 years ago by Grandfather

I think I get this....let me know if I'm correct. K for Khushboo, and you have traveled all the different ways...North, East, South and West. It could almost be a flag for your territory, Khush! Very interesting!
Posted 5 years ago by Grandma Sandy

North South East West, I think Khush's art is the best.

I love the colors--you did a beautiful landscape.
Posted 6 years ago by Mom

Love it Khush. My question is who is Ted and is he an artist who does this kind of work. Interesting if it reminded you of South Dakota. I love the colors! Very lovely! You have done so many nice pieces!
Posted 6 years ago by Grandma Sandy

Love your layered hills, Khush! Also like the restrained use of color where you do different shades of blue to help give depth to the different layers. By keeping the lines simple, you give the picture power...really like both of these!! Grandfather

It is either a volcano or a sleeping giant.

This looks like a volcano in the picture of a very pretty landscape.

Hi, Khush: The "doberman" looks like the painted dog pack we saw in Zim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are their colors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted 6 years ago by Bobbie

Hi, Khush! particularly like your doberman collage!! I would have known the dog to be a doberman even without your picture and using animal pictures to make the collage was particularly genius...Very special and congratulations!! Grandfather
Posted 6 years ago by Grandfather

Awesome job! I love the collage.

Love the image of the cats on the tree looking at the moon! Why did you choose white for the moon, though, Khush? Guess I would have used a light yellow...but still love the picture! Grandfather
Posted 6 years ago by Grandfather

Nice use of computer technology to create this unique look, Khush. So enjoy getting to see what you are working on! Do you feel older now after your birthday?? Grandfather

I love your cat and your comments. The cat looks like it might be Egyptian!

I would like to know more about masking. It's an interesting skill. I think you did a great job with it. I really love it!

Khush, it's beautiful!
Posted 6 years ago by Dad

BEAUTIFUL! Love all the shades of blue and such a fine likeness of a butterfly, Khush. Well done and so good to have a picture from you! How does it feel to be 12 years old!! Almost a teenager. Much love, Grandfather
Posted 6 years ago by Grandfather

Khush: That butterfly is just beautiful! Did you use watercolor or colored pencils or another medium? I love it! Is there an actual butterfly in Vietnam with those colors? Thanks for sharing it!
