I would love to know more about your thoughts as you were drawing this. I see bright green grassy hills and tree. The sky is all darkness except the rings of fire? around a dark orb. It seems like opposite things appearing that could never work in real life. For example, plants cannot survive in darkness.

Great job on this! It is amazing how just changing the color on a line allows an image to pop from the page!

Bennett - How you capture the light by using darker shading behind the vase and around the edges of the purple adds depth to this work. Great job!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the use of Legos. And will make sure Uncle Travis sees this. You did a nice job with both sides of the butterfly being symmetrical. I would love to see this one flying in our garden!

Wow! this was good work. you used the white paint to change the dark blue into great shades of other blues. I like the cherry and sprinkle on top too. Sure is a lot of ice cream. You will share it with us?

Grandma doesn't know what this is but it is very colorful....it might be a snake with hands or a turtle...please let me know...and how many triangles are within?

I like this piece a lot. I like how the colors blend together and make new colors where they mis. I like the heart in the corner and how it is a bit hazy. Very nice work.

This piece reminds me of an acorn after a squirrel has gnawed out the insides for dinner! I love it! We saw hundreds of acorns when we went camping last summer. This reminds me of the fun times we had together exploring God's creation.

Mmmmm. Just looking at it makes me want a cup of hot cocoa stirred with a candy cane. We'll have to make some the next time you come to visit. The best part would be having a cup with you.

Another fun project. I like the way you painted the paper (and of course, orange is my favorite color). The paints give the caterpillar's skin great texture. Love the eye patch too. Going to turn into a great butterfly.

Those are some COOL pine trees. The water color painting in the background looks great. I like how it is dark in some places and light in others. And you picked great colors of tissue paper for the trees. What a neat technique to use watery glue.

This is a great picture. I love the colors you chose to fill in your swirly pattern. It is a good mix of dark colors with a nice pop of bright yellow and fantastic orange. The small bit of purple is a nice treat too!

This is a great painting. I really like the water color paints and adding the newspaper for the birch tree trunks is fantastic. It looks like the wind is blowing the clouds around in the sky. Must have been a windy day in Skokie.
