Merry Christmas Viking Family
from Mrs. Palmquist
Thank you one and all for the many blessings I've enjoyed with your children this semester. We felt the love with all the donations of gift bags, bubble wrap and tissue to help wrap elementary clay projects for precious Christmas gifts. Please save more and put them in your kids bookbag to send back in January-as we cut it too close to the deadline this year. Many junior high and high school "elves" helped prepare and deliver to the 12 K-5th grade classes. They are so gracious when I boss them around for these kinds of adventures. We held a few gems back to display at art shows later in the Spring semester, you should be receiving a note in place of the ceramic piece. Thank you in advance for your patience!

New families may be wondering what happens to all the projects created and when they might come home. Portfolios of the work will be sent after the May art show, whenever my older students/seminar class help strike the show. We will finish the "great" sort and pass back before school is out for Summer Break. Until then we hope you enjoy the pictures (which don't do them justice, in my opinion). In person is WAY better, for sure! Speaking of this, we are looking for ways to display temporary student exhibits in the communities, but need some special helpers to make it happen. Send good thoughts, ideas and volunteers my way at jpalmquist@mv330.org or stop by the art room to work out the details. Please be sure to check in with the office first, of course!

Also dear people, thank you for the cookies, cocoa, chocolate, cookies, gift cards, cookies, chocolate, coffee mugsssssss and more Christmas treats than I deserve. I LOVE sugar, but the kids tell me I should hold off because supposedly I'm hyper without any. LOL! Next time consider sending string cheese, protein bars or other healthy snacks for my starving JH and HS artists;) Their favorites are my pretzel sticks, cashews and almonds. Food is such a motivator for us, so I am happy to share. Seriously, we have so much fun making art, teasing each other, playing, learning and growing. Hope you all enjoy the break together and celebrate in a way that makes you happy. Please make sure they get some rest so they aren't too cranky with me when they come back next semester;) Peace, air hugs and all that jazz, Vikings!

Many thanks and blessings,
Jerri Palmquist
