Expressions Charter Chat: February 2017
from Jenell Novello
The "earth" without "art" is just "eh."- Ned Roram

Dear 7th/8th Grade Expressive Arts Parents,

I am so excited to share a new Harry Potter unit for this year’s expressions classes. The unit was previously called Medieval Unit, however, the projects have been revised to incorporate elements of the Harry Potter novels and connect with themes of the Middle Ages. The objective of this unit revision is for students to gain an understanding of the medieval times period through engaging hands-on projects that stem from Harry Potter, a topic that so many of our students love. FUN!!!  I am very excited to launch this unit with all of the students, however, I recognize that for a small portion of our community, the magical themes of Harry Potter are in conflict with family beliefs.
If you have any questions or concerns please email me at jnovello@natomascharter.org and I would be happy to discuss our plans further.
Thank you,

Jenell Novello

Just for Grade 7

Wow! I am so proud of our 7th grade students that performed at Poetry Out Loud! If you didn't get to see your child perform they have another opportunity to perform at the Humanities Night next Thursday. Another reason to come to Humanities Night is to view the Pop Art Exhibit- it is AMAZING and will come down Friday, February 3rd.
