Congratulations to Adin and Jackson for receiving their Artsonia Hall of Fame Trophies.

**Is your child in the Hall of Fame???  Only 2 weeks left to help get them into the Hall of Fame Raffle- all it takes is 5 pieces of art, 5 fan club members, & 5 comments by fan club members.  Check out your child's status on Artsonia.

  • Lowell Public Library is hosting an art show of student work from May 6 - 10 with a special reception on Wednesday, May 8th at 6:30 p.m.  Over 100 students from Lake Prairie have artwork on display at this exhibit.  Stop by and check out all of the great work that elementary students of Tri-Creek have created.

  • Lake Prairie's Art website has had a great addition of 2 student created videos.                                   The first video was created by a 5th grader on how to make an Origami Bat.  He is already planning the next addition to this series.

  • While the second video was a stop animation piece done by a 3rd grader.  It took 30 pictures just to get the quick movements on this video.  I am hoping to have some students try this in an after school setting.  More info to come on this

  • Kindergarten has been very busy these last couple of weeks.  We have created castles, cows on a farm, and monsters.  Be sure to check out your favorite artists work becuase they are too cute.

  • 1st Grade has learned about dragonflies and their habitats.  We have also talked about different ways to draw flowers. The finished artwork is then brought into an app where students are able to create a neat background!

  • 3rd Grade has been learning about visual texture and creating a "He (Creature) Came With the Couch" Visual Texture Creature.

  • 5th Grade has been working on Notan Designs.  It is a Japanese art form that balances light & dark or negative and postive space.  Check out your favorite artists work and leave a comment for them!!

Thanks to Mrs. DuBord for helping take down the artwork so it could go to the Lowell Public Library Art Show!!
Artsonia is the largest student art museum in the world! Our dream is that every young artist will have an online art gallery, preserving their masterpieces in a digital portfolio!
