Update/Volunteers
from Suzanne Dionne
Hello and Happy Summer!

We had many events this year and a lot of student involvement - field trips, performances, publishings, exhibits, etc. To view these, check out my blog which can be accessed through the Rotella website or http://suzannedionne.edublogs.org   The blog, as of last night, is finally up to date. It was a very busy year, as usual, and it took this long to get caught up.

Each year, my second grade classes (the last grade level that I teach) have a page at the top of the blog to list their achievements from pre-k through second grade.

WE DID RANK #1 on Artsonia this year. The day before the deadline, we tied for first place. We had been in second place most of the year, which is why I am putting out a call for PARENT VOLUNTEER(S).

You can come in any day, after 12:45 (if my schedule does not change from last year to this year). I have Kindergarten, Second Grade, and First Grade all in a row- pretty much every day - there are two days that I am short a first or second grade.
You can come in whenever you would like - as long as I know the day before.
It is very easy to show you what to do and only takes under five minutes.
Basically, you ask students, one at a time, a couple of questions about their artwork and enter the info on Artsonia. The kids do enjoy this. It helps to keep our ranking at #1.

If you are interested, send me an email  sdionne@waterbury.k12.ct.us   or call 2035748168

Also, I do apologize - with over 22,000 pieces of artwork...once in awhile - mistakes happen. Wrong student - wrong artwork, a blurry or missing artwork. What to do? send me an email or note. I will try to correct the problem. If artwork is blurry, please send the project back to school and I will photograph it again. Sometimes the artwork has gone home, before the pictures are downloaded.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!  For all of your support throughout the year(s).
