End of T-1 Art Wrap-Up
from Ms. Datz
Hi all!

Hope the first few months of school went well for everyone. I know they seemed to fly by here in IHM Art!

We are now in the 2nd trimester of the year, and the main event this trimester is Christmas!
Everyone in school will be making some keepsakes to take home and hopefully hang on the tree.

Students in grades 1-8 are participating in our annual Christmas card contest! There will be winners for the different levels, and one grand prize winner will have their design featured on the IHM Christmas card this year! :)

I am still accepting donations of all sorts of arts/crafts items. We are getting into fiber arts this year so if you have extra sewing, crochet or knitting materials to get rid of let me know!
I have a long and varied list of things I am seeking, including hand tools, and even old blenders! (send me your old one if you get a VitaMix this Christmas LOL)

Contact me if you have things/stuff/junk you are looking to get rid of.
As always I love getting gifts of unscented baby wipes, paper towel tubes, egg cartons and miscellaneous "stuff".

Just for Grade 7

This will be the 2nd annual "Gingerbread (Graham cracker) house" project for 7th grade.
I would love to have the kids provide some of the supplies if possible!

We will be using:
-Graham crackers (each house uses 3 full crackers but a lot of them break)
-white canned frosting (each kid needs about a half a can)
-any sorts of candies that would make good decorations
-plastic knives
-paper plates

If you can contribute please let me know or just send things in! I was hoping to start it on this Friday for 7-E and Tuesday the 13th for 7-L. Originally I had planned to start it tomorrow but we are finishing up with the Christmas card contest.

Just for Grade 8

Anyone in 8th grade looking at arts magnet high schools or arts scholarships at private schools, please note that I am available to help with portfolio building and preparation.
Artsonia is the largest student art museum in the world! Our dream is that every young artist will have an online art gallery, preserving their masterpieces in a digital portfolio!
